HELMO (French Design Studio)

“Bêtes de mode” (Fashion Animals)

Images by HELMO for the Lafayette Galleries in Paris. I really love the colour within the images and the textures of the different animals. They remind me slightly of the images I took of Bish, 'Above Americano's', because of the colours and the overlapping.

One website said to check the images out in 3d glasses. I didn’t recognise them as anaglyphic 3d images and i'm unsure as to whether they would work or not but it gave me an idea. 3d is quite popular at the moment and I thought that it would be good to experiment with this within my own work. Its something different and exciting. I also think it would be something good for my end of year degree show/exhibition. I want people to remember my work and talk about it and I think this is one way of standing out from the crowd. It will get people to interact with my work. As well as this 3d is a step up from 2d, its more realistic, as in how we view things. I think that this fits in well with the idea of Bish and his life, as the project is about something real. I want to show him as more than just a flat 2d image, I want him to come alive, to stand out and be noticed.
