So we were at Bishwan's terraced house in the centre of Barnsley when he decides to run a bath. I was in the bedroom in the dark with the laptop, the light was on on the landing and once again the boiler was playing up. He was stood in the doorway of the bedroom looking out onto the landing, checking on the boiler to make sure that it didn't go off while the water was running. The light from the landing coming through to the bedroom was really intense and contrasted beautifully against the blackness of inside the bedroom.
This is my favourite image from the set. I love the depth of field and texture of the door which just adds that something else to the image. The door feeds you into the image to where bish is and then the banister going down the stairs feeds us that little bit further toward what bish is looking at, the boiler. I also love the outline of bish's body created by that vibrant landing light.
I also took some images of Bishwan in the bath however I didn't get many good results from this, as the lighting in the bathroom was poor. I wanted some images of Bish underneath the water, just to play around with textures and layers within an image however this didnt work out well either, as Bish didn't seem to cope well with being sumberged in the water.
I edited the colours of the images by using selective colour in photoshop. I changed the black's to dark blues/purples by taking away yellow and changed the yellows to a more lighter, peachy/white tone by taking away cyan, yellow and black. The images have uploaded slightly pixelated, which is annoying as I haven't noticed this before when uploading images.
